The other news, which is a mixed blessing: is Robbie being hired by Hydro one. In Barrie! A bit further than Ottawa. After a whirlwind trip to
Barrie (Dec. 6 )and a very intense interview that included a morning of
tests Robbie received a phone call on the 10 to say they wanted him.
Starting day .... Jan. 7. That meant several trips to Barrie, often there and back the same day, looking for a place to live. This accomplished Rob borrowed our van and moved his "stuff" up on the 29. Came back to
bring in the New Year with Veronica. From our phone calls he
seems to be very happy with his decision. Although the next 6 months are
going to be very intense learning all the required info: he is looking forward to being a "controller". Apparently this position at Hydro is quite prestigious and will open many doors down the road.
